Organ-X Red Mite Killer Powder, 300g
A ready-to-use insecticide powder from Organ-X (Lodi UK) for treating red mite in poultry houses. It contains pyrethrum, extracted from chrysanthemum flowers, with piperonyl butoxide, and kills red mite on contact; the label also covers other crawling and flying insects. Birds, eggs, feed, bedding and drinkers must be removed before use, and the powder must not be applied directly to birds.
- 300g squeeze bottle for amateur use, indoors and outdoors
- Contains pyrethrum extract 0.11% w/w and piperonyl butoxide 0.495% w/w (HSE No. 10889)
- Apply a thin, even layer where red mite are found: nest boxes, under the roof, cracks and crevices
- Leave for at least 30 minutes (ideally several hours) with birds out, then sweep or vacuum it away before birds return
- Heavy infestations: treat, repeat after 3 days, then weekly as part of routine cleaning
- Keep animals away during application; the label warns it can be toxic to cats
